I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's bout.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
